Troubleshooting Tips: Double Check Connections and Get Back to Cleaning

You bought an Infuse mop expecting an easy clean and now there’s a hiccup: things don’t seem to be working correctly — you have noticed that your mop is leaking. But there’s a simple solution, so let’s troubleshoot.

1st, locate the white cap and make sure that it is on the bottle securely before you fill the basin with water, by tightening the cap in the clockwise direction (“righty-tighty”). Tightening the white cap ensures that the internal seals create the pressure that’s necessary for it to prevent leaks.

As you know, we deliver our cleaning solution as a concentrate, rather than shipping diluted solution, in order to reduce environmental impact. So 2nd: remove the grey cap, fill the bottle with 26 oz. of water. We’ve drawn a “fill line” to make it easy. Then drop in the concentrate and replace the grey cap, tightening until you hear a pop sound and see the concentrate start to release.

3rd: When you slide the bottle into the mop base, look for air bubbling up to confirm that the bottle has been properly inserted. Just note that when you push the bottle straight down into the mop base, there is no need to turn or screw the bottle into place. Doing so can actually loosen the white cap — this is the most common cause of leaks. Instead, push the bottle straight down and listen for a slight popping sound. You should see a burst of rising bubbles, like in a New Year’s glass of champagne. This is the mop’s way of telling you that it’s good to go.

Monitor your mop by setting it in a sink, shower or bathtub overnight. If it’s still leaking, send us an email at hello@infuseclean.com or call us at 1.800.435.6223, we’ll make it right and have you cleaning in no time.

Let’s Recap:

  3. Unscrew the grey cap, refill the bottle and add the concentrate, if it’s empty
  4. Screw the grey cap back on
